God has given us two Sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion. Through these two special acts, God influences us. In Baptism with the water and the Word he removes the sin we are born with, and He also plants the seed of Faith. Through Baptism, God gives us the possibility of new life, if we nurture the seed of Faith. Holy Communion is one of the ways that life can be nurtured.

In Communion, we are given a visible assurance that our sins are forgiven, and that God is always with us. As you partake of Holy Communion, you are affirming with each communicant that Jesus is your Savior and Lord, that with Lutheran Christians you believe His body and blood is present and your desire is to serve Him as a disciple in the fellowship of the Church.

The following Questions are helpful in preparing oneself for Holy Communion:

1. Do I believe that I am a sinful person being without hope of eternal life except for God's mercy in Christ?

2. Do I believe that Jesus is God's Son and my personal Savior?

3. Do I believe that Jesus is personally present in the Sacrament of Holy Communion with His body and blood?

4. Do I believe by the power of the Holy Spirit that I can live a Godly life?

If you can answer all of these questions in a positive way, then you are welcome to commune with us at Trinity Lutheran Church.
